For many of us the persistent spin used by Australia’s Prime Minister has become so commonplace that we have stopped listening to him. Of course on the world stage the leaders of other countries do not have such a luxury. French President Emmanuel Macron is captured here reacting to Prime Minister Morrison’s approach to the truth.
From 1:58 this is most telling.
Macron: I have a lot of respect for your country, I have a lot of respect and a lot of friendship for your people. I just say, when you have respect you have to be true, and you have to behave in line and consistently with these values.
Reporter: Do you think he lied to you?
Macron: I don’t think, I know.
